Thought I would try and dye a small amount of Roving to see how it would turn out. I was pretty pleased with the results I used Queen Food Colouring. I soaked the roving in a vinegar bath first then poured the colours on, and then wrapped it in cling wrap and put it on the boil for 40min. Then rinsed in cold water till it rang clear the colours turned out really vibrant, So all I need to do now is spin it!
I greatly admire hand-dyed roving, yarn, thread, etc., and your color combination looks fabulous!
