Tatting Books!

I bought these Tatting books at a place called Crochet Australia when I stayed at my daughters last
week I also bought thread but I will blog and show you the pics about them another day. Anyway I was able to get Mary Konior's book on Tatting with Visual Patterns and it is a terrific book.  Also the Big Book of Tatting and Tatting Farm Animals. But the book A Tatters Workbook is a treasure. I don't know if any of you  tatting ladies have seen this book but it is done by a A. Tatter and edited by Jules @ Kaethe Kliot. it has patterns recorded by an anonymous tatter done in the1920's. Some of the patterns were done in ink and pen and some on a unique typewriter. It also has the price for orders for the customers it was found in a 2 hole binder, with tatted samples stitched with the patterns, also the tatter used vivid and pastel colours as well as variegated. This book is a real treasure trove of information and patterns.

  2. Those are wonderful selection of books. I have the Mary Konior book. I am eyeing A Tatter's Workbook and would be interested to read more about what you, and other tatters, think of it.

  3. I've almost bought A Tatter's Workbook also, but didn't because I hadn't heard it mentioned before. I'd also like to know what you think of it when you get into it.

    Have fun with them all!

  4. Yay! Enjoy them! That particular copy of Mary Konior's is my fave! Tatter's Workbook is a fun picture book. There are no patterns in it!
